Summer Internship Experience at Fillip Technologies
This summer (2020) I got the opportunity to do an internship at Fillip Tech. Fillip Tech. is a service based company which develops various platforms like website, mobile application, management software to SEO, SEM & SMO like School, College, Hospital, Retail, etc. It was a great experience to work here. I learnt a lot of new things & in-depth knowledge about various frameworks, languages, etc.
Learning
I learnt here a lot & that too in details. Before coming here I was able to make websites. But there I just picked up elements, templates which was just like we are doing drag and drop. That was a the reason I was afraid of doing a front end developer but after joining here I first learnt the things properly. Small small details that were so important but we missed them.
I got to do many kinds of work here like bug fixes, adding elements, making websites from scratch, etc. I had to learn various things in detail like HTML, CSS, JS, etc. which I would have never done in detail before. Also we learnt how the industry works. We used to have daily meet so that we could raise our issues. And team was very helpful in regarding this they used to solve my problems .
Exposure
I got a good exposure here how the industry works. How to fulfil client’s requirements. How to work in team. How to contact to HR in case of any problem. The main thing is how the work is divided among developers. How they mutually solved problems. Also with this I learnt how the indutry evolves.
COVID-19 Factor
Truly, It could be a very easy & good opportunity if we had to work onsite as there was difficulties in adjusting meeting time, Problems that we could not discuss online, etc. But at the end I had completely different thought that it is a next level experience. Like think of collaborating internationally in future. It gave that kind of exposure. But yes I would say that the socializing reduced & making new friends and link reduced. These were the things that I missed.
